A Big Belize Discount (and Interest-Free Financing)

Friday, November 27, 2009

Dear Reader,

If you have been following these dispatches, you will know that I’m bullish on Belize and the Orchid Bay project in particular.

If you share my interest in Belize you need to pay attention. The deal just better for 15 lucky buyers. The developer is exclusively offering interest free finance on 15 lots. Lots are available from $39,000.

I wrote about this offer today in International Living’s postcards. I want to make sure you didn’t miss this alert. I expect these lots will be quickly snapped up.

I have copied my report below.

P.S. It’s difficult to get bank finance in Belize. If you can get it, you will pay 12% interest. This developer is financially strong. That’s why he can offer interest free finance.

If you are considering living, investing, or retiring overseas, little Belize should be on your radar. This is a country of amazing natural beauty. From its Caribbean shores to its jungle interior, Belize is a nature-lover’s paradise.

Her barrier reef is second only in size to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. On the mainland, unspoiled coast is backed by lush tropical forests and Mayan ruins. The people are the friendliest and quirkiest of any country on my beat. English-speaking and welcoming, it’s easy to integrate with the local community. Foreign retirees are afforded generous incentives. They don’t care much for rules here. You can mind your own business in Belize with no unwelcome intrusion into your affairs by the government.

Finally, and most importantly, the real estate values here are amazing. I’m talking one-fifth or one-eighth the price you would pay on the Caribbean’s sterile islands to the east.

Belize has been my #1 Caribbean buy for the last five years. Today it just got better. You can avail of interest-free financing at Belize’s premier resort community.

I first visited Orchid Bay five years ago. Spread over 115 acres of a pristine peninsula known as Point Alegre, Orchid Bay is in the Corozal District of Belize. The project is tucked along the shore of the Chetumal Bay some 90 miles from Belize City, the former capital and home to the Philip Goldson International Airport. The Mexican city of Chetumal is less than an hour away by car and 30 minutes by boat. The picturesque seaside fishing village of Corozal is minutes away. Here you’ll find breakers, breeze, and fragrant canopies of poinciana trees adorning its central park.

When I first visited Orchid Bay, heavy machinery was cutting roads. The complex system of underground drainage and services was taking shape. Everything was going underground. The developer had a grand vision to build a community. By community he meant a real community…where there’s always a friendly neighbor if you run out of sugar or just want some company while you kick back in the waterfront clubhouse.

“New Urbanism” is the technical term for this school of architecture. It’s seen as a rebellion against the sprawling suburbs that were built in the U.S. This type of planning is designed to foster a sense of community. Central plazas and communal areas attract and keep neighbors together. This means it’s easy to walk around…you won’t need a car.

At Orchid Bay, the master plan calls for a mix of homes sites, casitas, and condos. Today, the project is real. The vision I heard (as it competed with heavy machinery) five years ago is today becoming a reality. The first residents have moved into the casitas…houses are under construction and plans are well advanced for the release of the first condo building.

Orchid Bay is the most idyllic and innovative resort community ever conceived in the tranquil, tropical nation of Belize. Orchid Bay, true to her “New Urbanist” ideals promises to be a vibrant and exciting community; a close-knit neighborhood where old and new friends alike can gather at the planned town center for small talk and great times.

If you like the conveniences of the modern era…and all of the comforts of a Mayberry on the beach—all rolled into one—look no further.

There never has been a better time to act. The folks at Orchid Bay have agreed to offer interest-free financing on 15 lots for readers. Here’s how the numbers play out: $39,000 buys you a lot in the Ceiba Horse neighborhood. You make a down payment of $19,500 and monthly payments of $542 for three years. This is a high-end resort community but these are manageable monthly payments. The developer (Ari Kahn) is standing by to send you a full information pack.

Ari doesn’t want you to buy if, for some reason, Orchid Bay isn’t for you. That’s why he’d like you to come down and see for yourself. I strongly urge you to request a full information pack from Ari today and schedule a visit to Orchid Bay. Join one of Ari’s chill weekends. Worst case scenario you’ll have a great trip to Belize… and Ari will pick up some of the tab.
