Costa de Oro, Ecuador
The sunsets along this coast are strikingly beautiful

Dear Reader,

We had to stop. Just outside Salinas, a coastal city in Ecuador, I’d spotted a magnificent beach. A wide carpet of cream-colored sand fringed the sapphire sea. Huge waves rolled towards the beach, climbing to a white-capped peak before breaking spectacularly on the sand. And the beach was empty, apart from two surfers who raced across the beach before paddling out to meet the waves.

I could watch mighty waves like these for hours…and listen to the crashing surf forever. And you can too…with your own three-bed beach condo for $122,200.

You can enjoy a relaxing beach lifestyle in Salinas

Salinas is a fun, lively city on Ecuador’s Pacific coast, with a good choice of restaurants and cafes, modern shopping malls, hospitals and clinics, a movie theater, and supermarkets. A huge farmers’ market in the La Libertad neighborhood stocks fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. A bag of multi-colored sweet peppers costs $1…and red snapper fillet, just $2.50 a pound.

The boardwalk is busy at the weekends with sunbathers and swimmers. It’s where families gather to socialize, catch up and relax.

That condo for sale is in the Costa de Oro neighborhood. It’s beachfront, 120 square meters (1291 square feet) and brand new. It features an open-plan layout, and a spacious kitchen with granite countertops. The condo has three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and wide ocean views.

On the balcony, you can hang up your hammock and enjoy the views of the beach and ocean, and the afternoon breezes…or the vivid sunsets, in striking shades of gold, orange, and scarlet.

The asking price for the condo is $124,700. The developer is offering a 2% discount on the condo if you reserve before June 15th. That cuts the price to $122,206…for a move-in ready condo with expansive ocean views.

Contact the developer Amy Pinoargote here to find out more details. Amy can help arrange for you to see the property, and get a feel for the Salinas area, too (she moved here full-time from Florida two years ago with her family).

P.S. If you like the sound of the Salinas area, but this condo isn’t what you’re looking for…let Amy know what you are looking for here. Amy runs private real estate tours, and can help you find your dream beach home here…for less than you thought possible.

As with any other overseas trip, we advise that you purchase travel insurance. We always recommend strongly that buyers perform their own complete due diligence, use a qualified legal professional to help with real estate transactions and purchase title insurance. Should a reader decide to purchase a property from one of the developers/real estate agents Pathfinder covers, Pathfinder will receive a fee from the developer or real estate agent.
