The beaches in Tulum are simply stunning
Dear Reader,
This is the nicest stretch of white Caribbean powder sand and turquoise water I know. If there’s a more pleasant spot to kick back with a cold drink I haven’t found it.
Perched just above the tree line this roof terrace gives the best vantage point for sunset. The only sound is warm turquoise waters lapping on the white coral-sand beach. The lapping sound of the warm waves is only interrupted by the swoosh of flocks of birds playfully drifting by.
Our eyes track their direction. Not to the lapping Caribbean shores but to the lagoon. Dinner comes easier there. And, as sunset spills a yellow light across the lagoon a lone fisherman paddles on the glass-flat water. He also has dinner in mind. But, there’s more than enough to go around. This wildlife preserve stretches for miles and millions of acres. It will stay as it is.
Here, nestled at the end of this stunning Caribbean coastline, surrounded by untamed jungle, ancient forest cities, this protected nature reserve, and the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea, is one of the world’s best-kept secrets…for now.
Past the lagoon and in the jungle are ancient Mayan ruins. White bottomed lagoons connect overland or through underwater rivers with the Caribbean. Locals tell of legend-size barracudas coming from these shallow waters. One, the size of a small man. Who knows whether these tales are true, exaggerated or made up to entertain visitors. They certainly add a kick to the best roadside ceviche I have eaten.
The world’s second-longest coral reef hugs the seashore. There are no high-rise condos or big shopping malls…and no spring-break crowds…on these tranquil beaches. Chic boutique hotels are dotted along the coastline. It’s hard to believe that despite this raw nature this place is easily accessible from anywhere in the US. And, a major government plan is set to make it more accessible. Values could soar.
Tulum is a very special place. Her beaches mesmerizing. Her jungles full of mystery and history.
Close by is an exclusive development called Tao. It’s a project made up of condos, town homes and residences. I first introduced you to this development just over a year ago in these alerts. Back then, not a single sod had been turned. But developer Benjamin Beja had a vision, a hard-working team and a truly special piece of land.
Today, that vision has become reality and the first residents are getting ready to move in. And the project’s truly special Tao Center is nearing completion.
The Tao Center will open in January. This will be the focal point of the Tao project and will shape the Tao lifestyle. Here, your mornings can start with yoga on glass platforms over mythical Mayan caverns. Then the day begins…maybe a stroll along the white sand beach, with the turquoise Caribbean caressing your feet. Or a visit to an ancient temple… followed by a leap from limestone crags to crystal-clear cenote waters.
And it’s still not too late for you to get in.
The vision for Tao has grown. Today, Benjamin’s vision for Tao is a lifestyle. An oasis of peace, enrichment and contentedness.
The reality is just months away.
Exclusive communities and boutique resorts are popping up all over the US to cater to this active, engaged lifestyle trend.
But none of these communities is minutes from the sugar-white sand of one of the Caribbean’s finest beaches…one of the world’s most prized nature reserves… or most historically and culturally significant ancient ruins. This place is rich in food for the body and for the mind.
And most of the communities in the US come with sticker shock. For example, a home in one of the Canyon Ranch communities could set you back well into seven figures.
But here at Tao, you can buy a condo with as little as $30,000 down and $950 per month. Prices start at $167,000.

P.S. There’s more to Tao than a luxurious health and wellness community you can afford. Buyers here could be sitting on quite an investment.
I’m bullish on Tulum not just because of the coast and white sand beaches but also because a government program (including plans for an international airport) calls for an increase in tourist numbers in Tulum. The appreciation potential for the Tao project is strong…as is the rental market here.
