Dear Reader,
Last Monday I told you about the new Seagate condos and clubhouse at Rancho Santana. When I was there last month this area was buzzing. Surfers surfed… the horses stabled near the clubhouse were kept busy along the beaches and trails… owners and guests pampered themselves at the spa… and the organic vegetable garden offered up its first crop.

The kids go to school here in a glass fronted building with unobstructed views over the pool to Playa Rosada. Maybe the nicest school house on earth! I don’t know how the kids concentrate…
Back from the clubhouse, the land rises steeply, opening up 270-degree views along the coast. Here a refreshing breeze drifts along the tree tops. Remember, Rancho Santana boasts 2700 acres of pristine forest, green valleys, rocky cliffs and sandy coastline (including five stunningly different beaches). Here, back from the clubhouse, the lots are big. Many are an acre or so. The developer will keep it this way. Private and exclusive. This is the type of view you get up here…
In fact, this is the view from a spec house the developer has built. Here’s where you’ll have your morning coffee and freshly squeezed juices. Or where you’ll gather with friends and family to watch the fiery sunsets.
With three large bedrooms, the home has a total of just under 2,600 square feet of which 900 or so is covered exterior space. A pool could easily be added. The developer didn’t build one as part of the spec project, but they are happy to include one as part of the deal for this house.
This home is built on a one-acre lot. The spec home only takes up a tiny portion of the plot. To the side, you could build a guest house which could nestle in these trees. Your guest house could generate some nice rental income while you kick back in the main house…or vice versa…or you could alternate depending on what renters are looking for. Maybe you just keep the guest house for your in-laws…or as a home office or art studio.
An ATV or an old truck that you could keep here will get you to the clubhouse, the stables, the spa, the beaches and the restaurant in minutes. As an owner here you have full access to all the amenities.
The developer is asking $363,000 for the house and is willing to talk finance terms. This is a place where I would like to wake up…

P.S. : The lot this home sits on would likely list for $120,000 based on other lots that sold recently close by. With 2,600 square feet (including exterior covered space) this spec home is a good deal. Plus, there’s financing…you get a stove, refrigerator…and the developer will throw in a $15,000 swimming pool as an added sweetener. Contact Gloria here to receive a full information package.
