Own a Piece of Costa Rica for as Little as $8 per Square Meter

If you thought only the wealthy could enjoy views this good from their terraces, you'll
be surprised at what you can afford at Lomas Coronado.

Dear Pathfinder Reader,

If you thought your dream of owning a home in the sun along Costa Rica's alluring Pacific coast had slipped from your grasp because of sky-rocketing prices, you're going to want to take a serious look at Lomas Coronado in one of the most beautiful, and soon to be most desirable, areas of Costa Rica.

Let me explain.

While vacationers and retirees were flocking to the resort towns and beaches along Costa Rica's northern Pacific Coast, precipitating the country's first real estate boom, the mist-shrouded mountains, cascading rivers, and vast pristine forests of the southern zone remained largely a secret shared by intrepid adventure-tourists, a small international community of expats, and the local Costa Ricans.

But word about this area's dazzling beauty--and potential--is getting out. In fact, forward-looking investors are already buzzing about the real estate demand that's almost certain to follow here.

Even the Costa Rican Government has joined the act. Anticipating the growth potential of the country's southern zone, President Oscar Arias has finalized plans for a new international airport in the area, while newly-released funds for improving the highway infrastructure there coincide with plans to convert the southern stretch of the coast-hugging Costañera Highway into the Pan-American Highway.

In the heart of this growth-targeted area, perched amid a pristine natural wonderland above Costa Rica's southern Pacific Coast, sits Lomas Coronado

And, with lots starting at an incredibly low $8 per square meter, it's an excellent early-in opportunity in an area where more mature developments are already attracting buyers at prices in the range of $40 to $60 (and upwards) per square-meter.

The development is divided into 28 spacious lots of between 1.25 acres to over 3 acres, each offering a bird's-eye view of the surrounding lush mountains and valleys, and ranging in price from $55,000 up to $350,000--the latter with a 270-degree panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean below.

The lots are all titled right now and each is held by a single-purpose corporation ( S.A. ) so that once you take title of your property you can resell at any time. The developer is also finalizing an agreement with Costa Rica's second largest bank to provide financing for qualified buyers, with 30 percent down, and the balance financed at about 8.25 percent annually over twenty years.

The property's infrastructure (water, electricity, roads, and a bridge over a nearby river) is expected to be completed by November 2008.

Though owners at Lomas Coronado will enjoy a tranquil, natural setting, they will definitely not be isolated from most of the conveniences they're used to. The Costañera Highway between Dominical and Palmar Norte is just seven minutes from the property; supermarkets, shops, and hardware stores are nearby; there is no less than 35 restaurants, including Italian, French, German, American, Thai, seafood, and local cuisine, all within 20 minutes of Lomas Coronado.

A 52-bed hospital, 10 minutes away, has just been completed, and will offer first-rate health care. The new international airport will be an easy 25-minute drive along a good, paved highway.

Once largely overlooked by expats and all but the most adventurous of tourists, this area is emerging as the best value-oriented real estate buy in Costa Rica (maybe even in all of Central America) right now…

And it's why we encourage you to take a serious look at this early-in opportunity at Lomas Coronado today. For more information, click here
